We had a wonderful stay at Le Bouclier d'or. We look for location when we choose a hotel while on vacation and this is the best place to stay, Le Petit France. Step outside to restaurants, shops and cafes and enjoy the bustle of the city. Walk 10 minutes to cathedral, river and shopping. Return to the hotel which is an oasis of tranquil peace. Beautiful spa. We had a basic room which exceeded our expectations. Large, luxurious and clean with the added perk of complimentary soft drinks.
My husband and I highly recommend this hotel. So delightful to walk out of hotel in the morning and hear the sounds of the children entering St Thomas school across the road, to the strains of "a little Night Music."

This hotel is absolutely one of the finest boutique hotels. The location in La Petite France was perfect for us to set foot to la Cathedral, the vielle ville and walk along the river Ile. The 16th C. Mansion is tastefully decorated with gorgeous ancienne meubles and the bedding & towels are sumptuous. We were on our honeymoon and the hotel upgraded us to the most glorious room with parquet floors and a large modern bathroom with shower. We wish we had time to stay longer but we will definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to our family & friends traveling to Strasbourg.

It is with some challenge that we approach giving feed-back. Simply read page after page of detailed commentary which is overwhelmingly not only positive, but enthusiastic. It's all true! The hotel was recommended on a short list of potentials provided by a friend who is Strasbourg-based...and there's lots to chose from in Strasbourg. We found our stay luxurious; all of our expectations were met. The personal attentiveness and interest of the staff was just right. Le Bouclier d'Or has our unqualified recommendation. Thank you for all you did to make our stay comfortable, care-free, and welcoming, capturing the true spirit of the "Capital of Europe."

Hi, what a lovely 2 night stay at your hotel. We wished it had been longer. The hotel beat expectations. Excellent service, but very friendly too. The hotel was immaculate which is difficult to achieve for such an old building. There was a feeling that the owners/staff love and care for the place. We stayed in the "standard king room". It was an accessible room on the ground floor. Very nice. We loved the breakfast variety of cakes, fruit, cheeses etc (there was also hot food). The location in quiet and central and the red carpet extending from the road up the path and around the corner to the entrance is a clever touch. People pass by looking at that special place. Patricia served us at the bar (beer, teas, cocktails, cakes...) and was very attentive, professional and friendly. My only suggestion is that (for English guests in particular), tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be appreciated. Thank you and we hope to see you again at your lovely boutique hotel.

Cordialement,
Corinne C. MAURY
